Hey! I'm a casual reader of your blog, and am wondering what there is to do about this? I would hate to see this happen to someone in my family who is in a committed relationship!

There isn't really much you can do until the laws are changed. So: lobby and vote, and then vote and lobby. Flex your political muscles as much as you can and hope it makes a difference.
Until then, tell any lesbian or gay couples you know to SEE A LAWYER NOW (seriously: NOW) if they want to protect themselves. There is no excuse for a Will to have an incorrect number of signatures. We have to mind our P's and Q's until we have proper legal protection.
